Anxiety

One of the principal challenges was accurately and sensitively portraying an internal, often overwhelming emotional state like anxiety. It was crucial to avoid sensationalism while still conveying the genuine distress experienced.

I addressed this by using stylised 3D character animation to focus on subtle body language, facial expressions, and environmental reactions, allowing the audience to empathise with the characters' experiences without explicit or graphic depictions of panic.

Another creative decision involved showing the varied impact of anxiety across different settings. Characters are shown in different life situations like bustling party, a crowded train, and a solitary bedroom.

This required meticulous scene set-up and character posing in Daz Studio to illustrate how anxiety can manifest in various social and private contexts.

The compositing in After Effects then allowed for dynamic camera movements and visual effects that amplified the emotional narrative, guiding the viewer through the characters' struggles and their journey towards understanding and potential relief.
