Testicular Self-Exam Explainer
This 3D explainer was designed to educate viewers on the importance of monthly testicular self-examinations for early detection of testicular cancer. I used Daz Studio to render a realistic, respectful character model, posed naturally in various self-check positions. These renders were then composited in After Effects, where I added clean annotations and overlays to guide viewers through the process step by step.
The challenge was to strike a balance between clarity and sensitivity, presenting anatomical content in an accessible and respectful way without compromising on educational value. The animation avoids sensationalism and instead focuses on calm, instructional pacing. Annotations highlight key areas to observe, while camera framing keeps the tone neutral and informative.
Lighting and colour were kept minimal and clean to support the clinical nature of the topic, and transitions were designed to maintain a smooth, non-intrusive flow. The result is a visual guide that feels approachable, trustworthy, and grounded in both medical accuracy and viewer comfort.
