Mindfulness
This explainer introduces viewers to the concept of mindfulness — what it is, why it matters, and how it can be practiced daily. The video is aimed at beginners who may be unfamiliar with meditation or skeptical of wellness practices.
The goal was to offer a warm, inviting tone while conveying practical guidance rooted in psychological benefits and personal well-being.
The visual direction followed a soft, pastel color palette, stylized 3D characters, and serene environments. Characters were designed with expressive but calm facial features, encouraging empathy and reflection. Elements like plants, soft lighting, and clouds were used symbolically to evoke calm and presence.

Challenges & Creative Decisions
The main challenge was to visually reflect the inner experience of mindfulness - something abstract and deeply personal - in a way that felt relatable and concrete.
I used a combination of soft environments, slow-paced animation, and stylized 3D characters to give a gentle rhythm to the video, mirroring the breathing and awareness techniques being described.
To emphasize accessibility, I avoided overcomplicating the visuals or overloading the viewer with information. Instead, each scene was focused and intentional, using symbolic motion and soft visual cues (like floating clouds and natural plants) to encourage a state of calm.
The use of 3D characters in a simplified, almost toy-like world made the video feel approachable for all ages. This was especially important since the topic is often perceived as too “spiritual” or intimidating. Through design, I brought mindfulness down to earth - showing it as a universal and simple tool for daily life.
